Just to say THANK you to all the volunteers and full time crew in the stations. As the new Area Operation Manager, I've been privileged to meet some amazing people who dedicate their time to saving lives on our coastal waters and inland lakes every day.Your welcome has been immense. Chris is the LOM at Fowey Lifeboat station, as is the case with so many LOM's he puts in a huge amount of hours and effort, much of which is behind the scenes and can seem to go unnoticed. This is a thank you to Chris for all his hard work, it doesn't go unnoticed!
Looe Lifeboat station has recently seen a hand over from David Haines, the outgoing LOM to the incoming LOM Clive Palfrey. We welcome Clive as the new LOM but also want to thank David Haines for his outstanding term as LOM. Thank you both for all you are doing at the RNLI, the team and I are very grateful for your efforts. we are lucky to have you in your new roles as LOM and LMG chair.
Mark is the LOM at Rock Lifeboat station and has shown a huge amount of dedication to the RNLI and his team over his time in the Role. A big thank you from the team and I for your continued efforts and the way you have selflessly volunteered over the years, it is much appreciated

Kevin, a i just wanted to say a massive thankyou for all you're doing as the LOM at Port Isaac Lifeboat. Being a LOM is not an easy role and doing it on stand alone ILB stations brings its own challenges which you always over come. thank you

Thank you for your help whenever there is a query. For always making it seem like each person is the only one you need to deal with today. Your smiles come across in your voices! Thank you. Julie is the S.E Regional Communications Lead and one of the nicest people who you can ever meet. Her compassion and support has been incredible when we recently lost a valuable member of our team at Ramsgate. Always a calm, caring, sincere voice in a crisis, she is an asset to the Press Team.
When our Chair of Thanet Fundraising Sarah Hewes died recently the whole station pulled together to give her the send off that she deserved. I’d like to thank the whole team for supporting myself and each other over this difficult time.
What a busy six months we have had so far this year, and still so much more to come as we enter our busy summer season, continue to celebrate what we have achieved on our watch, commemorate the lifesavers before us, and look to inspire a future generation of individuals that will see the RNLI saving lives at sea for the next 200 years! Thanks to the part that each of you play in our lifesaving missing, 9312 launches took place in 2022 that saved a total of 506 lives and rescued thousands more who found themselves in peril.
