Charles Henry Nicholls

My dear dad passed away on 17 June 2021, the day after my birthday. He was aged 95 and had lived a full and active life. Most memorably, he was appointed as a Football League referee and enjoyed many prestigious games as the "Man in the Middle", especially the match between Plymouth Argyle and Santos in 1973. His father, Fernley Edward Nicholls, who was lost on HMS Acasta during the war, is also remembered on the same lifeboat and I am delighted that their names appear together.
