My husband’s Mum and all her family her family lived at No. 7 Henrietta Street until 1940’s. His Grandad, George Hall was a merchant seaman and had also been a volunteer on the Whitby Lifeboat, his Gran sold fish on the pier. We spent such happy holidays in Whitby reminiscing about the old days so I wanted to keep the connection going by having his name on the lifeboat.
