Edith Fox & Bernard Fox

Our father, Bernard Fox, was a naval officer in World War II and Edith (Barr) was a Wren driver. He fell madly in love with her the moment he first saw on her in1943. They married in 1946, and spent their honeymoon in Whitby. We had lots of family holidays in Whitby, it’s a very special place in our hearts. Edith Fox was a very keen fundraiser for the RNLI, she was awarded a silver medal for 45 years service. Such happy memories of a wonderful couple, a love story that lasted 70 years.
