Nurse Peggy Crowder

Nurse Crowder was the district nurse on Fylingdales district above Whitby, during the 1930s into the earlier 1950s. She retired just as the NHS formed. Reputedly delivered as many sheep as humans as she traveled around. She died around 1955 and her ashes were scattered so the lifeboat name is her only memorial.
