Dad was born in Batley on March 10th, 1930 and Whitby was his favourite place. He was a keen singer, organist and bellringer and was tower captain, organist and choir master at All Saints’, Batley, All Saints’, Pontefract and St Giles, Pontefract. He graduated in Medicine from Leeds University and spent his whole career as a GP in the Castleford and Knottingley areas.
