My dad- Ernest David Robert Cherry ( Ernie)
My dad was in the Merchant Navy and left before my brother and I were born but we were brought up with photos and stories of his times at sea travelling the world.
Dad always supported the RNLI and Christmas was always about having cards from them or holidays would be looking at the lifeboats when at the coast. Sadly, dad died in 2002 and I miss him so much but the RNLI always brings back happy memories and it will be an honour to have my dads name on the lifeboat.
