Robert ‘Bob’ Palmer
On the 13th April 2001 my amazing father was diving in Eastbourne and suffered ‘the bends’. The RNLI responded and tried to help, but tragically he died. Whilst they could not save him, I am grateful they tried. I have never got over this loss, I have just learned to live with it. I am so please to honour his memory with his name on a lifeboat in Yorkshire as this is where he was born. This photo was taken on the boat just before he did his last dive. Gone but never forgotten. Love you Dad. RIP.
