Simon Carruthers
My husband Simon was a very keen sailor and left instructions for me to donate a sum of money on his death which I gladly did. He used to say that one day he might need the lifeboat so felt that he should support it. I love the idea of him going to sea with his name written on the side of the Whitby boat, he would have loved that.
