I have added my own name to the Lifeboat as I celebrated my 60th birthday in December. I will also have my name next to my wonderful Dad, Michael Batten, who will be 85 this yr. So each time the lifeboat goes out on a rescue, we will be going to sea again together. When I was growing up, I went fishing as often as I could. We had so much fun and I learnt so much from him. I loved going out, whether in calm or rough seas. I'm beginning to write a book about our fishing trips.
