Norman Smith was born in Harome, North Yorkshire. He and his wife Stella lived in Whitby when they were first married, and he worked there from 1951 for 2 years before they moved to Helmsley . His first child (Christopher) was born in Whitby. Ever since those days, Whitby has retained a special place in the hearts and memories of all his family, including his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is remembered with love.
