Dennis 'Pop' Lendrem

Dennis Lendrem (1923-2003) served in the Royal Navy during WW2 from 1941-1945. He was fished from the water when his ship HMS Medway was torpedoed and sank off the coast from Alexandria. I just wish he was still here, so that we could tell him the lifeboat at Whitby now carries his name.
