My beautiful child left us in 2015 through breast cancer. She was a nurse and gave selflessly of her time, her skills, her knowledge and her love. Lifeboat crews give of their all. They are the silent heroes and, like my daughter, see the worst and cope with it because that’s what they do. Also, there is the best, when the lost and the scared and sometimes damaged are returned to us, safe, sound and back to their people. Thank you to all crews especially Kilkeel crew on whose watch we are safe.
