Our darling Mum & ‘Baba’, Susan Rushton (aka Sue Ashcroft) was a staunch supporter of the RNLI, raising funds after her father served on HMS Trumpeter. Almost a year ago she was rushed into hospital and was sadly taken from us on 29th December. It would have been her birthday on Boxing Day and this is the most fitting gift and tribute we can think of for such a wonderful and much loved woman who brought such hope to others, just as the boat her name will adorn will do too.
