Kenneth Howarth
If he knew his name was on a lifeboat, his smile would reach from ear to ear. He was only a small man but served in the Royal Navy during WW2 on HMS Gravelines, as a radio technician, but sadly he suffered with sea sickness every day at sea.
But after seven years he was discharged as the sea sickness was too much and he went to work for the home office attached to the police.
He was a few days short of his 96th birthday when we lost this brave mariner, and now his name will be forever at sea.
