Ron Breckon
Ron was a Whitby man who loved the sea, he joined the merchant navy as a cabin boy at the age of 15.
During WW2 he served in the Royal Navy.
After the war he was a fisherman who owned his own coble, WY7 “Resolution”.
He volunteered as an oarsman on Whitby’s last rowing lifeboat “The Robert & Ellen Robson” his picture can be seen in Whitby’s RNLI museum.
Loved and Remembered with pride by all his family.
