Captain Mike O'Byrne

Michael O'Byrne was born in Rome, where his father was posted to the Irish Embassy. He trained at TS Worcester and helped with rigging the Cutty Sark. He went to Port Hobart and Port Victor. He spent much of his time deep sea, travelling between Australia, New Zealand and the UK. He finished his career as Master of the Horsa, a Sealink cross Channel ferry, operating out of Folkestone.
