Peter Root
As a child Peter explored the local Lincolnshire waterways on a homebuilt raft, using a fertiliser sack as a sail. He progressed to building small sailing boats when a teenager and in 1965 designed and built,at home, his ultimate yacht, Moby.
With no inboard engine it was designed purely for the joy of sailing and over the last 40 years gave him that joy,in voyages to Europe, the Med, Scandinavia, the Orkneys and a 10,000 mile, year long. adventure across the Atlantic.
