In loving memory of two wonderful brothers, both ex-seafarers, who worked 40+ years for British Rail/Sealink ferries in Dover. Walter a fireman on BR steam trains, transferred to become a CPO on the ferries. Derek an AB seaman, and in later years mooring staff. This occupation also enabled Derek to be available for any shouts during his 16 years’ service with Dover Lifeboat. Both loved their work and will be so proud to know the RLNI memorial will take them together out to sea once again.
