My Dad grew up in Ramsgate, Kent.
We are a family with water, the sea and sailing in our blood.
Never knowing when the RNLI may be needed, we took Dad’s lead and supported them. A sponsored go- kart race round Lydden track or Dad doing a neighbourhood collection box for many years in Canterbury.
He was the first superhero I ever met, so the thought of him joining in on launches for life saving work on this new boat is a real comfort for me. I miss him greatly, but his memory lives on.
