I donated to the lifeboat in memory of my Mum, Mary - she sadly died very young at the age of 52. Mum used to collect for the lifeboat, or rather she used to send me out with the collection boat round all the neighbours! The reason was she couldn't swim. She rarely went out on a boat and we lived in a landlocked county but her support for the RNLI was consistent! So now Mum gets to go out on a lifeboat, to help others who are in trouble on and in the water. She'd like that. Thanks x
