Ruby and Bert Birley and Granddaughter Jo Dening
My dad Bert loved the sea and we spent many happy family holidays in Wells-Next-The-Sea and it was here that we spent the last holiday together before he became ill. My daughter Joanne (or Jo as she preferred) tragically drowned whilst in New Zealand in 2019. Her name is on the first Launch a Memory in Invergordon. My mum sadly passed away in June 2021 aged 91 and when I saw the RNLI Wells Launch a Memory, I knew that I had to re-unite them on the same lifeboat. Happy Memories.
