My dad was born in Grimsby and was a fisherman by trade, During WW2 he joined the Navy patrolling the South Coast destroying mines etc. He unfortunately during this time was among those that were made to clear up the disaster at Slapton Sands something he didn't talk about until the last years of his life. So my dedication is that he lived by the sea and help protect our seas and now he will still be doing this aboard the Exmouth RNLI boat even though he is no longer with us.
