My dad was an avid sailor and had completed the Fastnet Race a number of times and achieved his Ocean Master certificate. He taught me everything I know about sailing. Safety at sea and on a boat was always so important to him. He is missed so much and still inspires us today - It was his memory that inspired me to do the Round the Island Race this year, 20 years after he did it and which also happened to be on Fathers’ Day ❤️
