My mother was born and brought up in Hull. Her father was in the Navy , a family tradition dating back to Nelson, a distant relative. Mum joined the WRNS for the duration of WW2 .After I married into a family with a flat in Exmouth in 1979 she and my father spent many happy holidays there watching the docks. She always supported the RNLI and I am pleased to have donated to and asked for her name to be added to Exmouth’s Shannon Class lifeboat .She was a wonderful mother and a very special lady.
