Our Dad was on the lifeboat for many years when we were young. I can remember Mum being worried when the flares went off in the middle of the night. The lifeboat back then was nothing like they are today! Our Dad and his crew mates were brave and selfless just like every lifeboat crew since then. He really was the best.
