For active RNLI fund raising in East Kilbride, near Glasgow for many years. This committee raised £1000s for the charity over many years. Agnes was often asked why there was an RNLI fund raising committee in East Kilbride. Her reply was "Everyone likes playing at the seaside. Occasionally someone needs to be rescued. That someone could be me.... I'm not a great swimmer!"
