Sidney Alexander Anderson: “Andy”

His daughters Jill and Penny

Dad was never happier than when he was by the sea. He learned to swim in Firestone Bay in Plymouth between the wars, learned to sail at Salcombe in the fifties, and died in Budleigh Salterton with a view of the sea. He was an engineer, and the years in between were spent on the water or designing boats he never had time to build. We scattered his ashes off his favourite jetty so the sea has him still. It will be lovely for us to think of his name on our local lifeboat, bringing people home.
