Dad was on the St. Peter port , Guernsey lifeboat for 28 years working up from Rope hand to Chief Mechanic, as a child from 2 years to 30 I remember the times he went out to the rescues, my mother kept scrap books of all the rescues for 28 years, I now have them and there’s lots!! Dad died of throat cancer in 1998.
