Our dad loved the sea. When he was a young man he served in the Royal Navy and over the years RNLI was very close to his heart. Seaside holidays as a child would always include a visit to the lifeboat station.
Our dad would have been 90 this year so instead of flowers by a tree donating to a new lifeboat with his name included on the side seemed a better way to honour his life.
I’m sure he would be super proud knowing that his memory will forever live on the ocean.
