My dear dad was only 47 when he was drowned by a freak wave at Lackan Pier near Killala in Co Mayo on 27th September 1981. He was helping a friend when the tragic event occurred. 😢 we have been without him in our lives now for almost 40 years. Rest in peace Daddy
