Dad served in the Far East during WW2 before being taken prisoner. After the war he returned to the Far East and had many happy years with the MRNVR and later RNR (Singapore), finishing as Captain of HMS Laburnum/KD Singapura in 1966. The RNLI was his favourite charity so I am sure he would be delighted to be associated with a new lifeboat.
