Rodney ("Rod") was chair of our Branch from about 2005 until his date of death on 19th October,2020 aged 82 years. Rod was and exceptional human being as well as being a driven RNLI supporter. Under his tenure and thanks to our wonderful supporters,our inshore Branch has been raising between £20,000 to £30,000 a year. Rod's unique personality and enthusiasm have been inspirational to all involved with him. For his services to RNLI and other charities he was justly awarded the BEM.
