Martin F O'Malley
The dedication of our fathers name on this boat has special significance as he spent the earlier part of his life in the Irish merchant navy, running the gauntlet of the Altantic during WWII . Secondly that he also was born up the road from Clifden in the small fishing village of Cleggan, which suffered its own disaster in October 1927, when 16 fishermen lost their lives. Therefore he will be pleased that such a service as the RNLI and this boat be available should seafarers get into trouble
