Harry Macavoy, Able Bodied Seaman

As RNLI supporters we are delighted to be a part of 'Launch A Memory'. Our late mum Olive Kinley (nee Macavoy) had a brother, Harry, who served in the Royal Navy on HMS Jupiter. Unfortunately he, and many others were 'lost at sea' when their ship sank on 27th.Feb.1942 after striking a mine in the Java Sea. Harry was only 22 years old. These tragic circumstances meant we never met our Uncle Harry so this is a lovely way to honour him and hope others are never 'lost at sea'.
