An Engineer & businessman who gave so much via support for many organisations, charities, individuals & his church, John left an indelible impression on everyone with his distinctive voice, his appetite for solving problems & his generosity. Though he'd no connection to RNLI Anstruther, 'Launch a Memory' seems a fitting tribute since, in 1963, John fell overboard from his classic Clyde 20-ton one design yacht ‘Tigris’ in a North Sea gale but grabbed a rope & was hauled aboard by his friends!
