Lt. Colonel George Henry Hobkinson
I never met grandpa because he died when my father was a young man, but it felt right for him to be remembered alongside Granny Mary on the new Anstruther Lifeboat, where their eldest son lived while serving at nearby RAF Leuchars.
Grandpa himself served in Burma with the Royal Engineers during WW2 & before that he served as chief architect, responsible for the many new airfields which were required in Lincolnshire in the lead up to the Battle of Britain & beyond. Rest in peace, Grandpa George.
