Betty Duncan
Our mother Betty Duncan was born in Crail in 1921. Her maternal grandfather was a fisherman. After leaving the Waid Academy she worked in the office of Watson and sons in Cellerdyke until 1946 when she married. Our father Frank Truelove was in the Fleet Air Arm at Crail and they were married in St. David’s, now the Church Hall. She then moved to Great Shelford Cambridge only returning to Crail for holidays to visit her parents John and Mary Duncan. My brother and I loved our holidays in Crail.
