Robert Hughes-Smith
My father came from Anstruther, born in 1921 at Elizabeth Place. He joined the RAF when war broke out, and served for 22 years. He never returned to live in Anstruther, but we, as a family, spent many very happy holidays there with relatives. He spoke about it often, and I know his heart still lies there.
