Loving father of Esther Riddle Cann. Alfred was a donkeyman on ss Gasfire which was torpedoed on 17/10/22 with the loss of 11 men. This was the 2nd time Esther's mother, Margaret, was widowed, having been widowed as a result of the First World War also.
