Tom Bolger 1924-2019
Remembering a lovely man, and more than just a Step-Father. Liverpool born, Tom in Merchant Navy WW2, survived u-boat sinking of Adda. Served in Army 1945-67, to return home and ending up as a Black Cabbie. In his late 80’s, he cared for ailing wife, and when widower, aged 92 he moved to Royal Hospital Chelsea, after single-handedly packing up home of 30 yrs in 3 wks. Miss that ready smile, he had time for everyone and photograph memory to end, and his passing at 94 left a huge hole in our lives
