Ellen was my Nan and she was the best Nan ever. A strong and determined lady with a subtle sense of humour, she was an absolute diamond. Nan loved the RNLI and supported it all her life. She never went on a seaside day trip without visiting the nearest lifeboat station and buying something in the shop or making a donation. She was always awe inspired by the volunteer crews and the work the RNLI does to save lives at sea.
