Joan was a very active person and very much the matriarch of the family, she loved to holiday by the sea whether in the UK or farther afield. She took ill in her early eighties suddenly which led to her suffering from Vascular Dementia for the final three years of her life, during this time she managed one last holiday with her son in North Devon.
Joan is missed greatly and thought of all of often, she was a best friend as well as a loving mother.
