He had an everlasting love and respect for the sea after he was conscripted into the Royal Navy.
He was shipwrecked at the age of 15 ( first trawler trip) off the coast of Norway and spent Christmas with a lovely family.
He spent some time in the Merchant Navy -for the rest of his life he was a proud supporter of the RNLI.
He was a wonderful ,caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who we love and miss every day.
