William Kinstrie Frame or Bill as he was known was born in Lanarkshire and in his early life worked for an electrical installation company. In the early 1970 he was sent to Invergordon to work on contruction of the oil rigs. He joined what was known as the "Glasgow Colony"
He had many happy memories of this time spent there
As a family man he enjoyed holiday time in Salcombe, Devon and Filey, Yorkshire both of which have lifeboats and these memories often linked to his time spent in Invergordon
