Ours was not a dramatic rescue by any stretch but could've been as we were caught up in a sudden offshore wind and outgoing tide on a brand new rib off Llgwy Bay in Anglesey. As the Irish sea beckoned and no amount of power was returning us to shore, I signalled my distress to fishermen on the nearby cliffs and a launch came from Moelfre to get us back to shore. Steven was an adventurer, life cut short by a heart condition at 38 but he lived, truly lived before that.
