The Original Jonbouy: John’s love of the ocean was immeasurable and he had sailed a few oceans in his time. On one such voyage he came to respect the ocean as he very nearly went overboard at night whilst on a transatlantic trip of a small yacht. A few years later (mid 1990s) he developed the man overboard life saving device, the Jonbuoy. So I am really pleased to know that his name will be on this lifeboat and that his spirit will live on as it rides the waves.
