Bill Edney
My father would be so proud to have his name on a Lifeboat.
He was in the Royal Navy and, whilst a gunner on a Merchant Ship, was sunk in the Channel. He and the Captain, who he tried to save, were picked up by a lifeboat and so thanks to those brave men I had many wonderful years with my father.
I was very proud of my father who was awarded a BEM for his bravery and I am in awe of the wonderful RNLI volunteers.
