My father remains the only Inspector of Lifeboats ever to be awarded the Gold Medal for Gallantry in the history of Institution, for the service to the Nafsiporos in December 1966.
Also to honour the Gallantry of the Holyhead and Moelfre lifeboat crews who all gave such selfless service, in the finest traditions of the RNLI. God bless you all.
