Pop was born in 1923 on the island of Berneray, in the Outer Hebrides & sadly passed away in 2008. He joined the merchant navy in 1942 & left in 1950 when he contracted TB. I think the sea was always in his heart, he always used to listen to the shipping forecast, he will always be in our hearts. From his ever loving sons.
